Please be aware of these disclaimers before you make any purchases from us:
1. Our Flutes and most of our wooden physical products are finished with a 100% pure and natural Mineral Oil. The flute wood is then lightly sealed with Carnauba wax, which is a plant-based wax secreted from the leaves of the Carnauba Plam tree.It is a food grade substance and is not classed as a common allergen, however, in some very rare cases some people may have issues relating to it. We strive to make natural and toxin free products, and to the best of our knowledge our products are, however, we are not responsible for any issues, be it health or otherwise, for any of the materials within or on our flutes, and you agree and accept full liability of and responsibility for any issues or damages as a result of using our flutes.
2. Our Flutes are all uniquely hand crafted. Although your flute will look and sound similar to that shown on the website, each piece of wood and hence each flute is unique and may differ slightlyin colour, wood grain patterns, pyrography detail and musical tone. We think this is a beautiful part of hand-built instruments. The same also applies to the Amazonite crystal beads on the flutes. Each flute may also carry some tiny marks from the hand build process and tooling. Together we call all of these features “Birthmarks”, and no 2 flutes will ever be exactly the same. If for any reason you are unhappy with your flute/item, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your item as per our returns policy and we will do our best to help you.
3. Flute Tuning. We currently tune our flutes as close as possible to the A=432hz standard, which is a very commonly found tuning in Sound Healing Instruments. Please be aware though that tuning accuracy is usually never “perfect”. Being a “wind instrument”, the tuning of a flute can be impacted by ambient air temperature and the temperature of your breath! The pitch of the notes also changes depending on how soft or hard you blow into it! These factors can slightly alter the flutes tuning and make the flute sound slightly flat or sharp in pitch relative to A=432hz. For example, you may find your flute goes “slightly flat” in winter months and “slightly sharp” in summer months, although the difference in tuning is usually so small most people cannot tell the difference. We do our best to build and tune our flutes in an environment of approximate average UK room temperatures (21 Celsius) so that your flute will be as close as we can get it to A=432hz on average across the year. If you import one of our flutes to a hotter country, the flute may become slightly sharper than original design intent, or flatter for a colder country. If you are having issues with tuning, there are small adjustments that you can make to your flute tone block to help. You can also try blowing softer or harder to adjust the pitch of individual notes on the flute. We cover both of these techniques in our online course. If you have any further issues, please email us and we will do our best to help.
